A blind rivet is also called a pull mandrel rivet or pop rivet is a special form of hollow rivet that only requires access to one side of the components to be joined and is fastened with special blind rivet pliers. In addition to the actual hollow rivet body with head at the front, the blind rivet consists of a longer, pierced mandrel with head on the outside in front of the rivet end, which is provided with a predetermined breaking point. The mandrel as well as the rivet sleeve can be made of the same or different materials.
